Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat -- Review & Results

Hello, everyone!  How are all doing?  I hope you're all doing well.  Today's post is a review on Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat, including before and after pictures.  I used 100 Sephora points to receive this mini bottle and I was excited to share my opinion on this rather expensive nail product ($30 full size @ Sephora!)  Let's get into it!

The purpose is to protect and strengthen your nails while providing a sheer pink shade that also cancels out any yellow tones.  As you'll see in my "before" pictures below, my nails are not looking their best.  Lately, I've done many nail looks here and even with wearing more polish, my nails have become brittle.  I've been dealing with A LOT of peeling and breaking, which isn't common for me.  That's the main reason I wanted to give this product I try.

Here's my before pictures... one of each hand.  Below are my "after" pictures.  I love the pink shade how quickly it drys.  Once applied it gives a beautiful glossy wash of pink, which I love and it does cancel out any yellow tones just as it claims to do.

However, I'm very disappointed with how quickly it started chipping and peeling.. we're talking on day 2.  I continued to use it for an additional three days and even reapplied twice with the same issues.  Now, ladies this is a PROBLEM and a pretty expensive one if you buy the full size!

After having less than awesome results, I went off to Sephora's site and the overall rating is 4.2.  People clearly loved this product.  As I read the more recent reviews, several commenters said they got this with Sephora points like I did, were not happy at all.  They were experiencing the same problems.  It makes me wonder, did I got a bad batch or something?  What do you think?  Although I love the sheer pink, I would not recommend this product as it stands and plan on looking into another option.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review.  Have you tried this product or something similar?  Let me know down below!  I'd love to hear about some alternatives.  If you enjoyed please google+, comment and join this site (follow) for more.  You can also now follow me on Bloglovin' with the button that is on the upper right panel of this page.  You have an amazing rest of your day!

IT Cosmetics Tightline Full Lash Black Mascara Review

Hello, everyone!  Back today with a new review on a product by IT Cosmetics that's centered around their Tightline Full Lash Length Black Primer Mascara (find it here).  It's definitely not your average mascara-- you'll believe me once you see the wand--so that's why I chose it.  I purchased it through QVC for a great price and it was also featured in a previous haul, HERE.

Crazy tiny wand, isn't it?  This little thing makes it so easy to get right up to
your lash line and give your lashes extra lift and length.

Here's a quick run down on this product.  It claims to be a two-in-one, so it's a mascara as well as a primer.  With it's unique wand, it enables you to get the brush right to your lash line creating a tightline effect while lengthening your lashes all at the same time.  An odd thing I wanted to mention is the setup of the packaging, which is backwards compared to other mascaras.  You expect the wand to be on the shorter side, but that it not the case.

The best way of applying this mascara is working slowing in sections starting at your lash line and wiggling your way up.  I have found that after you get used to the wand, it is easy to use.  I mostly enjoy using this product by itself, but you can apply this first (as a primer) then top it off with your favorite mascara for added glamour and extra big lashes.

Another closeup of the beautiful silver packaging.  The bottom photo is what
my lashes look like after one coat.  Nice, longer and natural looking lashes!
The Verdict?  Well, it's an okay mascara depending on the look you're going for.  It does tightline my upper lash line as it claims, but it doesn't really add much volume to my lashes only length (by itself).  I love myself some long lashes along with volume and unfortunately this product doesn't do both.

It has great staying power while keeping my lashes soft and flexible to the touch.  It's also amazing for the lower lash line.  I plan on using this mascara on days where I'm keeping my makeup pretty natural and low key because it does give beautiful more natural look to the eyes.  Since I ordered it from QVC, this mascara came as a duo.. meaning I already have a backup.  Once both tubes are gone I probably won't repurchase because I want to find a more lengthening and volumizing mascara to try.

That's my take on this It Cosmetics Tightline Mascara.  Have you tried it?  What's your current go-to mascara?  Let me know down below!  If you enjoyed please google+, comment and join this site (follow) for more.  You can also now follow me on Bloglovin' with the button that is on the upper right panel of this page.  You have an amazing rest of your day!

Lacey & Nude Inspired Nails

Hello, everyone!  Welcome back for another nail themed post.. it's all about being lacey and nude!  I had a couple lace nail wraps left, so I figured I'd create a look around them.  The wraps I'm using are from Jamberry and the style is called Lace Noir, which is clear with black detailing on top.  I love that you see the chosen polish along with the wrap.  On the remaining nails I used Julep nail color in Winona #151 and the Julep Oxygen Performance Top Coat.

Out of the last few nail ideas I've shown, this is the most.. me. I love gray and in my opinion, it's my best nude and goes with everything!  It's been two days since I've repainted and applyed the wraps and my nails still look great. I'm going to keep this post short and sweet for all of you because I'm in the process of packing our place to move.  Please forgive me!  It's been a bit crazy around here and I'm constantly surrounded by boxes.. I probably can form a maze!

You all have a fantastic day and I'll see you all Saturday for the next post/video.  If you enjoyed please google+, comment and join this site (follow) for more.  You can also now follow me on Bloglovin' with the button that is on the upper right panel of this page.  You have an amazing rest of your day!

Tea Tuesday - Pink Tea?! Tazo Passion Tea Review

Hello, everyone!  April's Tea Tuesday has finally arrived!  I absolutely LOVE doing these posts and sharing new teas with all of you.  If you missed March's, you can check it out HERE.  For for this month's tea talk, I wanted to share a completely new tea (to me) and something that is caffeine-free.  When I saw TAZO's Passion Tea (find it here), I knew it would be the perfect pick for April, the most Spring-like month of the year.  The coolest part of this tea: it's PINK!  Can't say I've ever had pink tea before this!

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

TAZO Passion Tea is a caffeine-free herbal tea that's infused with hibiscus, orange peel, rose hips and  of course, passion fruit flavors (hence the name hehe).  I've tried dozens of different teas, but I have to admit that this is the first I've tasted with rose hips and passion fruit.  The taste is VERY unique, sweet and fruity with loads and loads of flavor.  This is definitely a tea to drink by itself or with certain desserts because of it's sometimes overpowering sweetness---and that's without adding sugar to it!  It steeps quickly and the tea bag is easily used twice.  Thumbs up for me!

Here's what the individually wrapped tea bags look like and the bag once it's
steeped once.  I can't get over all the pink it gives off!

Be sure to always drink it from a white or light colored mug because this tea is PINK and you want to be able to see it!  I love how fun this tea is to hold and sip because it's just so colorful.  Makes me think of Spring!  My final verdict: I like this tea and recommend that you try it and join in on the fun!  So far I'm super impressed with TAZO brand tea and can't wait to try more.  What do you think of this pink tea?

This tea steeps quickly and turns to a hot pink within seconds of bobbing the bag.

Thanks for stopping by for another Tea Tuesday!  I hope you enjoyed this post and I'm making a loyal tea drinker outta ya!  What are your favorite teas?  Share them below.... I'd love trying new teas and who knows, it might find its way to a future Tea Tuesday!  If you enjoyed please google+, comment and join this site (follow) for more.  You have an amazing rest of your day!

Love ya lots,
Richelle
