Nails of the Week : Favorite Nude Polish!

Hey, everyone!  Here's Nails of the Week, featuring my favorite nude polish of all-time.  I love writing these nail posts and figured I was long overdue!  I kept things pretty simple... my favorite nail looks always are :)

For this manicure, I started with OPI Barefoot in Barcelona which is definitely the sole reason for this post.  I never thought my fair skin would suit nude polish, but that was until I found this gem.  Two coats were more than enough to create an opaque wash of color.  It's the perfect nude... not too light or yellow-based and very flattering.

Then to top it off, I sealed the darling nude with my most used top coat.  Essie Gel Setter Top Coat has been a long time love.  It leaves my nails protected with a nice shine.

4 Days Later... no chipping whatsoever! Such a great polish :)
Those are my nails of the week!  What's your current mani?  Let me know below :)

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

Tea Tuesday September - TAZO Green Ginger Tea Review

Hey guys!  I can't believe we're already in September and it's time for our monthly tea review!  Tea Tuesday is my longest running series and I love sharing new teas :)

For September I chose TAZO Green Ginger Tea.  Green tea is one of my favorite types of teas and I love the hint of ginger and lemon.  This isn't a tea I drink daily, but it's perfect when you're feeling under the weather.

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

TAZO describes "this bright green tea blend has a kick from ginger & a sweet note of pear".  I can't say I can taste any pear, but there's a subtle sweet flavor that pairs well with a spoonful of honey.

Like I said, I prefer to drink this tea when I'm sick since ginger is known for calming an upset stomach and can help with any bloating.  Plus, honey added to any tea soothes a sore throat.  This is a must-have during cold season!

SIPPING DETAILS

Ingredients: Green Teas, Natural Flavors, Ginger and Lemongrass
Steep Time: 3 minutes

I really enjoyed September's tea and I hope you give it a go!  What are some of your favorites?

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

LOVE FOR 5 - August's Favorites 2017

Hey, everyone!  The end of August is among us and it's time to round up my favorites!  This month my LOVE FOR 5 is dedicated to all beauty products, including some long time obsessions.  I hope you enjoy!  Let's hop in :)

MAC Heroine (left) & YSL Crushed Orange (right)
MAC's Heroine is the most gorgeous purple lipstick I've found.  It's the perfect shade of purple and I love the matte formula!  It's long wearing and not over drying on the lips... thank goodness!

2.  YSL Volupté Tint-In-Oil in Crushed Orange
The second lip favorite goes to this beauty... my most beloved lip oil from YSL.  This is so comfortable, gives nice wash of color and even leaves a beautiful watermelon tint that lasts for hours on the lips.  This doesn't leave my purse!  Now I want more!

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

This is my holy grail for all the right reasons!  It's everything you wish for.. it lengths, lifts and adds amazing volume to each lash.  I don't even use an eyelash curler!

Here's one of the best masks in my collection.  I've tried many overnight masks and this is THE BEST.  It smells amazing and works wonders for dry skin!

I love all Hempz body lotions and this new limited edition verison is no exception!  The zesty scent is perfect for summer and I love the moisturizing and non-greasy formula.  It's been my most used lotion all season!

There are my August Favorites!  What are some of yours?  Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

PROJECT PAN - FINALE RESULTS - Finish 8 By Fall

Hey, everyone!  I hope you're all doing well :)  Welcome back for my Project Pan Finale : Finish 8 By Fall.  This was a 3-month challenge that ran June 1st - August 30th and involved 8 products.  If you're new to this pan, feel free to check out my previous posts linked below.

Back to the finale, here's how I did!  Out of the 8 products, I finished 5.  It's not perfect, but that's okay!  Here's the details...
What I emptied:

1.  Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Fragrance -- Really enjoyed this scent! Key notes are Violet, Sandalwood and Vanilla.  This was starting to expire, so I'm glad I was about to use it up.

2.  Nivea Raspberry Rose Kiss Lip Butter -- This is a great inexpensive lip butter... It's very moisturizing and you get a ton of product!  I would like to try other scents :)

3.  Alba Botanica Hawaiian Body Scrub -- I love the lemon scent in this scrub, but it is very oily and coarse so I don't think I would repurchase.

4.  Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Sleepover Mask -- I ended up using this as a neck cream for the pan.  I originally enjoyed this but I prefer Origin's Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask a lot more.

5.  Pacifica Cactus & Kale Renewal Lotion -- This wasn't hydrating enough for my dry skin, but I do think people with normal or combo skin would enjoy this.

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

What's left:

6.  Olay Ultra Moisture Outlast Body Wash -- I love this body wash and it's ALMOST gone! It's super creamy and also makes a great shaving cream.  This is especially amazing for winter.

7.  Calgon Ageless Bath Renewing Bath Pearls -- This was a biggest fail of the bunch and I have about 1/2 left.  I'll just continue to use this in future bath cocktails!  I love the scent!

8.  Smith's Rosebud Salve -- I used this as my main cuticle cream and it works very well for that purpose.  I have decided to toss this though; it's over two years old and needs to be replaced.

There's the scoop!  I love finishing off products and I'm glad I did this challenge.  Any products you're trying to use up?  Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

PROJECT PAN - UPDATE #1 - Finish 8 By Fall

Hey, everyone!  Long time, no post.  Life has gotten a bit hectic and I need to slow down on posting.    Be sure to follow me on Instagram - @richellespranger - for daily beauty posts.  It's so convenient and quick to post.  Gotta love Insta!

Moving onto today's post, I wanted to share an update on my Project Pan: Finish 8 By Fall.  We're at the halfway mark and definitely have some progress to share... here we go!

1.  Olay Ultra Moisturizing Body Wash
This is a great body wash that's super moisturizing.  It has a creamy texture that works well for shaving your legs and that's what I mostly use it for.  It's a large bottle and now I'm at 1/4 left.

2.  Calgoon Renewing Bath Pearls
I've only used this twice and definitely need to use it more.  I still have 2/3 left.

3.  Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Mask
Almost done with this bottle!  I've been using this as a neck cream and it does the job. I have 1/4 left.

4.  Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss
Here's my main lip balm at the moment and I've made quite a dent!  I'm officially 3/4 done.

5.  Smith's Rosebud Salve
Goodness, not much to update on this tin.. there's just so much product and a little goes a long way.  I will continue to use it as a cuticle cream.. wish me luck!  1/3 left.

Alright -- onto what I finished!  I completed a total of 3/8 items and I'm pretty happy about that :)  The three products are Pacifica Cactus & Kale Water Lotion, Alba Botanica Hawaiian Body Scrub and Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Perfume.  Not bad for half way through the challenge!

I will post the finale results at the end of August/ early October.

There's the scoop!  Anyone like to join me?  Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

PROJECT PAN - Intro - Finish 8 by Fall!

Hey, everyone!  I'm very excited to announce that I am starting a Project Pan!  This will include 8 products ranging from the bath, body, skincare and more.  Here's the intro and the current status of everything!

This will start June 1st and end August 30th.  I love project pan and I hope you enjoy following along with me!

1.  Calgoon Renewing Bath Pearls

I chose one bath product for the challenge and went with these bath pearls.  They smell great, but I'm not sure if they do much.  This is completely full.

2.  Olay Ultra Moisturizing Body Wash

This is a great body wash but as you can see, it's a huge bottle!  I'm just ready for something else.  There's 1/3 left.

3.  Alba Botanica Hawaiian Body Scrub

Ohh this scrub is awesome and smells like lemonade!  It's around 3/4 full and I want to use it for summer.  It's very coarse and leaves your skin super moisturized-- no lotion needed!

4.  Pacifica Cactus & Kale Water Lotion

Out of the two Pacifica products mentioned here, this is my favorite.  It's very comfortable on the skin but doesn't seem to sink in enough for my dry skin.  In order to use this up, I will be using it as a neck cream.  The bottle is 3/4 full.

5.  Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Mask

This is an overnight mask by Pacifica.  Although I enjoyed it, it's not nearly as hydrating as the Origin's Drink Up Intensive which I will repurchase next.  This has about half left.

6.  Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Perfume

I love this perfume, but I think it's starting to turn and want to use it up.  It's about 3/4 full.

7.  Smith's Rosebud Salve

I love this little multipurpose salve.  My favorite way is to use it as a lip balm and cuticle balm.  Both ways work great!  I have over half left.

8.  Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss

Final item of the bunch is this lip balm!  I love the formula and smell... just want to use it up before it expires.  I have 1/3 left, but with all tin lip balms, you get much more product inside!

I will post an update mid- July with my progress!  Wish me luck!

There's the scoop!  Anyone like to join me?  Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

LOVE FOR 5 - May's Beauty Favorites!

Hey, everyone!  Welcome back for another LOVE FOR 5 :)  I have a round of all beauty themed items for the month of May that I'm really excited about.  Some are long time classics and others are new that stole my heart.  Here we go!

First item is one of those long time loves that I was referring too.  This foundation is seriously my holy grail... in fact, I've decluttered others because this one is simply the best!  It has buildable medium coverage and leaves such a comfortable natural finish to the skin.

The shade Gobi (fair with yellow undertones) is truly the most perfect shade match it's not even funny!  I love that manages to cover redness while letting my freckles show through... such a winner, my goodness!

Item number two is another unbeatable staple in my collection!  This is my favorite concealer of all time that I've repurchased over the years.  You get so much product for the price and I love the way it applies.  The shade Fair has pink undertones that helps conceal the blue/purple tones and brightens under the eyes.  If you haven't tried this, you should!!

Moving onto the cheeks, this is a new product that is too beautiful not to share.  Meet MAC's Margin ;)  This is my first MAC blush and the formula is amazing.  Margin is a peach with gold shimmer that instantly brightens the face!  Of course this is a go-to summer shade, but I will continue to use this year round.

Here we have one of my top "I need a Pamper Night" items.  I'm so addicted to this little scrub!  Not only does it do a wonderful job exfoliating your lips, it smells and tastes amazing!  I want to try LUSH's Popcorn Lip Scrub next!

Number five is a newer purchase that has continued to impress me!  I went into Ulta looking for a face sunscreen and found this guy :)  Although this is a body moisturizer, I love the HEMPZ lotions and tried it anyways.  This stuff is awesome!  I use it after my skincare each morning on my face, down my neck and my chest.  The formula is perfect... hydrating, soaks in quickly and not greasy.  The smell is also incredible!

There are my May Favorites!  What are some of yours?  Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

Rogue and Wolf Review + Mini Collection

Hey, everyone!  This is dedicated to my new favorite jewelry brand, The Rogue and The Wolf.  I found this witchy brand on Instagram and fell in love.  The edgy, mystical vibes speak volumes through their entire line.

There is nothing tradition about this brand... they are in a league all their own.  They are based in the UK and offer 3D printed jewelry in a large range of designs.  I currently own three items that I bought last December and they have become staples in my wardrobe.  The quality is there and the price is fair.

Rogue and Wolf ECLIPSE Necklace

My first piece -- and reason for my 1st order! -- is the iconic ECLIPSE Necklace in black.  I can see why this is one of their best sellers... how could it not?  I LOVE all the details engraved across the pendant along with the gunmetal chain.  In all seriousness, even the damn tag is perfect!

Rogue and Wolf CHRONOS Earrings

Here's my favorite :)  These are my Chronos Earrings, which are inspired by the phases of the moon.  They are EVERYTHING I hoped they would be!

I love the length, design and overall look.  They are effortless to wear and feel almost weightless... yes, please!  You can easily dress them up or wear them super casual with a black tee.  I adore these earrings!

Rogue and Wolf RHEA Ring

Final piece in my collection is the Rhea Ring which I ordered a size 6.  The fit is perfect and it is very comfortable to wear.  I've received several compliments while wearing this!

To note: make sure you take it off around water, otherwise it does leave some black staining... nothing serious (it washes right off), just wanted to mention it.  Such a great piece though, I want to try their Hunt and Cat Ears rings next! Haha the addiction is REAL!

Those are my thoughts on The Rogue and The Wolf -- Like I've said before, this is such a unique brand and the style just speaks to me!  I hope you take a look for yourselves :)  Have you tried any of their pieces?

Let's hop in!

1.  Make Up For Ever Water Blend Foundation - My Shade: Y225

This is a great lightweight base!  The formula is very thin and blends so nicely on the skin.  The coverage is sheer- light which is buildable and leaves a natural finish.

2.  Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

I adore this palette and will continue to use it year round but the rose gold and bronze shades are beautiful this time of year!

3.  MAC Pink Nouveau Satin Lipstick

This is my go-to bold pink lip!  The satin formula is very comfortable and long wearing.

4.  MAC Pink Lemonade Lipglass

The perfect pink gloss and the name alone is perfect for summer!

Here's my favorite bronzer of all time!  I love the red/brown undertones.

This is my first MAC blush and it's the perfect burnt peach shade.  It gives such a beautiful sheen to the cheeks!

This is one amazing blush and it's from the drugstore!  If you want blush and glow in one.. give this a go :) You won't regret it!

This is one of the most versatile products on this list!  I love this for all over bronzing and it also doubles as an eyeshadow!

9.  ABH Moonchild Glow Kit

This is my staple palette for icy highlights!  Lucky Clover and Pink Heart are my most used shades!

10.  Urban Decay NAKED SKIN Highlighting Fluid in Aura

I love this for minimal makeup days because it's light and so quick to apply.  Aura is my favorite shade of the bunch.. it's just so pretty on the skin!

5 Natural Beauty Products Worth Trying!

Hello, everyone!  I love incorporating natural beauty products into my routine and I wanted to share some of my favorites.  There's a variety of products to show, so let's hop in!

If you have any natural products that have stolen your heart, let me know!

Here's the product that inspired this post and the most multi-purpose of the bunch!  This organic castile soap is one-of-a-kind and such a staple!  I literally use this for cleaning makeup brushes (even my beauty blender), my bathtub and occasionally as a facial cleanser... no joke!  It's very gentle, but so effective!  There's many more uses but those are my favorite :)

This has become my favorite moisturizer and is a perfect fit.  I have very sensitive and dry skin and for the first time, I found a cream that's hydrating enough without being greasy!  My dry patches have started going away and my skin is calm.  I'm in love!

The first ingredient is organic aloe vera and also includes Vitamin A & E, rose hip oil and grapeseed oil.  This is versatile cream that can be used from head to toe, but I mostly use it has a facial moisturizer.

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

I'm completely addicted to this lip scrub!  It's made of only 5 ingredients (YES, you read that right!) including castor sugar and organic jojoba oil.  This scrub works wonders before liquid lipsticks!  I love the pink sugar, it tastes delicious and smells like candy.  What's not to love?!

This scrub totally reminds me of summer!  This sea salt scrub is super thick, hydrating and a great exfoliator.  This is one of those scrubs that leaves oil behind, so there's no need for any lotion after showering... works for me!  Along with sea salt, there's sunflower seed oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil.. just to name a few.  To top if off, it smells exactly like lemonhead candies!

Here's one of my favorite body butters of ALL TIME!  The smell is absolutely amazing and I love the whipped texture.  It also contains organic shea butter, honey and other natural extracts.  An added bonus --  it's only $8 and paraben free!

Those are some of my favorite natural beauty products.  What are yours?  Let me know in the comments!  I love trying new products :)

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

Nails of the Week - Glittered Wine

Hey, everyone!  I recently painted my nails and figured we would take a step back to memory lane.  About two years ago when I started blogging, I would post my Nails of the Week.  They were to-the-point and fun to post.  I wanted to bring them back.. maybe 1-2 times a month?

This week's nails are called Glittered Wine... deep, blood reds are one of my staples and I love a dash of glitter now and again.  Here we have merlot plus some rose gold shimmer!

This look encompasses Essie from start to finish.  Beginning with Essie Bordeaux -- such a gorgeous rich red -- I painted two coats.  Once it was set, I went in with one of my FAVORITE glitter polishes of ALL TIME: Essie Luxeffects Glitter Top Coat in A Cut Above.  This has the most beautiful flecks and shimmer in pinky, rose gold shade.  I'm hooked!

To seal in all the glittery goodness, I applied a generous layer of Essie Gel Setter Top Coat.  This is a great top coat that really protects the polish against chipping and is full of shine. A win win for me!

Those are my nails of the week!  What are you using?  Let me know below :)

LOVE FOR 5 - April's Favorites 2017

Hey, everyone!  Now that April has passed, I wanted to share my favorites for the month.  My monthly favorites are known as LOVE FOR 5, where I share 5 of my top things of the month.  I have a blend of beauty and lifestyle picks... let's get started!

BEAUTY

This has become one of my favorite scrubs and it's almost out!  I love the texture... it's sugar based and makes my skin very soft.  It also smells delicious and makes me think of summer!

This is one amazing primer!  I have very dry skin and I love how this makes my skin feel.  It's soothing and makes for a great base before foundation.  An added bonus, it smells like oranges! Haha such a small detail but I love it!

Kiss of Shimmer has been a handbag staple the last several months and it was about time that I shared it!  This is one of the best drugstore tinted lip balms that I've tried and you can't beat the price.  I bought mine at Ulta for $3 and I love the shimmery pink shade.  It's also very hydrating on the lips which I love :)

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

LIFESTYLE

4.  Starbucks Veranda Blend Ground Coffee

Here's my current coffee obsession from Starbucks.  The Veranda blend has the perfect flavor that isn't too strong or bitter and it tastes amazing paired with a dash of my french vanilla creamer.  This is my first bag and it definitely won't be my last!  This is hands down my favorite coffee yet!

5.  Just Add Ink Tattoo Adult Coloring Book

The final love is this adult coloring book called Just Add Ink Tattoo.  It's full of pages that are all inspired by tattoos and I fell in love with pretty much every page!  I love taking time each week to simply sit down and color... it's very relaxing and I enjoy it.  Classic Sharpie Markers are my favorite to color with.

Those are my favorites for May.. what are yours?  Let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

Tea Tuesday May - Twinning's Honeybush, Mandarin & Orange Tea Review

Hey, everyone!  Welcome back to one of my favorite series, Tea Tuesday :)  I took the last two months off to focus on teas I already had.  When you're the only tea drinker in the house and you review a new tea monthly, it doesn't take much for things to pile up!

Good news though-- I did a pretty good job and finished off quite a few!  I also have many new teas to share, so stay tuned for the next few months.  There is much more to come!  Anyways, onto May's tea!

I chose Twinning's Honeybush, Mandarin & Orange Herbal Tea, which was given to me to try out from my best friend.  I love all things orange and this is definitely becoming a staple in my tea drawer!

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

It has the perfect blend of sweet and citrus notes that tastes great by itself.  Although, a scoop of sugar really brings the flavor together!  The steep time is 3-5 minutes and I was able to get two full steeps per teabag. Not bad at all!  I also love that it's herbal, so I can drink it in the evenings or whenever.

I really enjoyed May's tea and I hope you give it a go!  What are some of your favorites?

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

Donation Drop Off #1 - Goodbye Clutter! - Hello Minimalism Series

Hello, everyone!  Paul and I finally made a trip to our local Salvation Army to donate several months worth of decluttered items.  It felt SO GOOD to have the boxes cleared out!  I've found that decluttering can be easy, but removing the stuff later is the hard part .. or at least in our case!

This wasn't our first drop off since starting this series in January, but it was the third and the largest.  From now on, I plan on sharing whenever we make a drop off.. hence, this post: Donation Drop Off #1.  I figured, why not?  Let's hold myself accountable and move the items out.

I find it kinda satisfying seeing everything all boxed up!  It really puts things in perspective... little things, big things.. it all adds up!  This trip included a total of 5 boxes (packed FULL!) of various items from previous declutters (check out my Hello Minimalism Section!).  The bulk was clothing, media, decor and miscellaneous home goods.  We also got rid of this tall white cabinet.. sorry, I forgot to take a photo!

That's all for this quick little update :)  I hope you're all doing well and have been up to some decluttering yourself!  I always feel so much lighter once I manage to fill another box... anyone else?

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer Review - TIPS + Before & After Photos

Hello, everyone!  Thanks for tuning back and today I have a review for you on a new product that has come into my life.  It is It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer (find it here), which claims to be crease-proof", "waterproof" and "instantly conceal dark circles, bags and discoloration".  I like those claims.

Please note: This post contains affiliate links through Magic Links.

I purchased Bye Bye Under Eye from ULTA for $24 for .28 fl. oz tube and it is also available at It Cosmetics Official website.  I purchased "Light", which is the lightest shade of the four colors offered.  This color is PERFECT for my very fair skin.  As far as high end companies, I thought this was a fair price.  In addition, they are cruelty-free and use cleaner ingredients which is extremely important to me.  If a product is not crulety-free, I'm not even close to interested.  I also love the packaging that prevents waste that consistently happens with the applicator wand tubes.  I used those for years and I'm officially done overspending on an item with less product inside!

In case you have figured it out yet, I'm in LOVE with this concealer and it holds up to every claim and more.  I use this mostly under my eyes, but I have also used it for spot concealing on the face and it worked wonderfully.  The tiniest about of product goes a very, very long way.  It melts seamless into the skin and does an amazing job at concealing under my eyes.  With absolutely NO CREASING... None whatsoever and I don't even set this with a powder.  Now that's a great product!  My skin is so pale, that I don't technically have "dark circles" because they're purple/bluish instead from my blood peaking through.  You can even see my veins in areas!  Endless to say, if I decide to wear makeup at all, that's the first area covered up!  And the BEST PART: it conceals without looking like you're wearing makeup!

I've added some photos for you, including Before & After pictures--Please be nice! :)

Quick Tips & How To:
*Squeeze a TINY amount on the back of your hand--see photo--a little goes a long way.  The amount shown in the photo is plenty for my entire face.
*You can use a brush, but I prefer my fingers I think it helps blend easier.  For my eyes, I usually work some product on-to my finger tip and make three dots under each eye and blend.  If you need more then you can always go back.
*As mentioned earlier, no setting powder is needed.  You can continue your routine as usual.  I've worn this alone without foundation so I apply it directly after moisturizing my skin.  If you want to wear foundation, apply this concealer afterwards.

This is a fantastic product and I hope you consider giving It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye a try.  I enjoyed sharing my opinions of this product with you!  Have any of you tried this brand before?  Thoughts?  Please share them below!  If you liked this post, please like, comment and follow this blog :)  You have a great day!

Love ya lots,
Richelle
