Bathroom Declutter - Declutter with Me! - Hello Minimalism Series

Hello, everyone!  Welcome back for another declutter!  This week I completed the master bathroom, which is connected to loft bedroom upstairs.  I went through the entire space-- the shower, countertop and under the sink.  Here's how I did!

THE SHOWER:

Our bathroom to separated into two parts: the countertop/sink on the right and the toilet/shower on the left.  I decided to start with the left side and grabbed all the products from the shower.  I made sure to grab a spare towel to set everything on while I worked.

Everything above was in my shower and the left is what I decided to keep.  These are all go-to products that my boyfriend and I use all the time.  The items on the right are being tossed/given away.   That completed the first area of the bathroom -- onto the main part!

THE COUNTER:

Next, I moved onto the countertop and sink area.  My only complaint about this bathroom is that we do not have a medicine cabinet, so we do keep key items on the counter.  I try to keep this as simple and organized as possible.   For the most part, we keep our toothbrushes, daily skincare, candle, comb and hand soap on the counter.   That's it.

I didn't grab everything off the counter to show, but here's the scoop: the left I'm clearing out and the right is what I am working on using up.  The items on the right are almost gone and instead of throwing them away I will finish them first.  Try to do this when you can!

UNDER THE SINK:

Lastly, we have the scary (where things come to hide!) area under the sink.  We keep the rest of our toiletries, medicine container and bulk bathroom items under there.  The 3 colorful plastic totes were purchased at Dollar Tree several years ago and have worked great for storage.

Just like with the shower, I completely emptied the cabinet and started sorting on the towel.  My goal was to reduce the totes from 3 to 2 and not stack things behind others.  I wanted to be able to open the doors and see everything easily right in front.  I was able to do both!

The stuff at the top is keep and the bottom is being decluttered.  Not including any trash, I'm decluttering about 20-somthing items from the whole bathroom!  Since I did that, I was able to reorganize and now, Paul and I each have one tote each.  Much better!!

AFTER

Here's the look 'After' of our cabinet!  Everything is accessible and is use.  There's no point of holding onto products you don't like!

This is the right side of the bathroom and what we keep on the counter.  If we had a medicine cabinet, most of these items would be stored away and out of sight.  However, this is what we have to work with currently... we'll survive ;)

Bathroom and shower -- done!  There were items I was able to declutter and others that I am working on using up.  Either way, things are getting better!  How are you doing?

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

Lots of Love,

Richelle
