My Halloween Home - NIGHT EDITION!

Hey, guys!  Happy Early Halloween :)  I posted my original My Halloween Home & Mini Tour last week and I wanted to create a Part 2: Night Edition.  This way, you can enjoy all the lighting and see everything in full night effect.  I hope you like this idea!  I'm a complete night owl, so this is when I enjoy it the most. I love hanging out down here!

I'm obsessed with the lights I added this year... thank you, Target-- you are amazing!  It's crazy how much a couple strands of lights can really glow up the room.  I never want to put them away!

Here we go!

Breakfast bar.. I love the purple lights and my salt lamp.
My favorite area of my living room! I love the fireplace, witch boots and our
halloween movie collection behind our mini skellie :)
Mr. Batty -- our resident night flyer!  He hovers above our hallway.
Our new orange lights above the door-wall to the balcony.
Final photo: here's our witch wall covering!  I love this piece and have it hung
on the loft wall.. you can see it from the living room below :)  Found this at
Dollar Tree-- no joke!!
That ties up another mini tour :)  How do you like to decorate your place?  What are your plans for Halloween?  Let me know below!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

DIY Halloween Cards - Handmade Card Ideas!

Hey, guys!  Halloween is only a week away and I wanted to share my latest creations for the spooky holiday.  This is the first year I've made homemade cards and it was so much fun!  I watched The Purge and Purge 2 while I made these.. it was the perfect crafty-filled Saturday!

This blog post isn't going to be a tutorial but just a guideline for those that may be interested in card making themselves.  Here's some of the basic tools and supplies I used .. enjoy!

Here are the essentials that I used for each card.  I chose a kraft A7 blank card & envelope set (A7: 5"x7" size cards) and my new favorite glue: Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue.  Then you'll also want a pair of scissors, pen and ruler.

Above is all the fun stuff!  Use whatever you want to decorate!  I do recommend some scrapbooking paper so you can add more color to the background and I love the look of layered paper.  I also have loads of stickers, washi tape, paper doilies and other embellishments.  You can easily find these items at Michael's and Jo-Ann Fabrics.  Some of the stickers I even found at Dollar Tree!

Trick or Treat Card
Happy Halloween Skelton Card
Dia de los Muertos Card -- Day of the Dead Card .. I love this one!
Layered Happy Halloween Card with bats and a flying witch
Cute but Spooky Halloween Card

I loved making these cards and I can't wait to make more next year!  What crafty projects have you been working on lately?  Let me know down in the comments!  I would love to know what you're making :)

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

My Halloween Home - Mini Decor Tour

Hey, everyone!  I hope you're all having an amazing October and Halloween Season :)  The time is going by way faster than I would like, but I'm making the best of it!  Although I haven't gotten to everything that I wanted, I did reach my goal of having my apartment decorated by October 1st.  Considering the crazy shit that we had the last month, I'm pretty happy about that!

With that being said, I figured I would share a Mini Halloween Decor Tour.  Paul and I live in a 2-bed loft style apartment, but we only decorate the main floor (living room, dining and kitchen).  I kept the decorations on the minimal side, which has been nice.  I hope you enjoy!  Let's get started!

Our kitchen table arrangement: I saved the wine bottle from Leelanau Cellar's
Witches Brew and added black roses. Then I have our beloved candy corn in a
stemless wine glass.

This is our furnace door right off the kitchen. I found
the "Witches Area" sign over the summer and I love it!

One of my Target Halloween towels that I hung in the kitchen from the stove.

I love this Halloween Creatures sign in the kitchen.  Plus my favorite seasonal
wine :)

My rose gold wooden skull sign... one of my favorite pieces I found at Target
last year!  I have this in our first floor bath.

Close up of our electric fireplace.. this is one of my top places to decorate for
the holidays!  I painted the canvas, which stays out all year.  The witch boots
are new from Marshall's and my fave new decor item.

The rest of the fireplace area.. I love our mini skellie dangling his legs of the
edge!  This is my favorite spot :)  We also keep all our spooky movies there.

GHOSTBUSTERS! Haha although we keep these legos out year round, I still
had to share them :)  They're my favorite legos and we keep them on the TV.

Here's one of my biggest steals of the season!  I found this wall hanging at
Dollar Tree and it's huge!  I attached it to the loft wall, so you can see it from
the living room.  It's very witchy and very me ;)

That rounds up our mini tour!  I hope to add even more next year :)  Top decor goals: Definitely make a large spooky wreath for the front door and get some cozy orange/black blankets!  What about you?

Did any of you decorate for Halloween this year?  Let me know below!

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!

Tea Tuesday October - Teavana White Ayurvedic Chai Review

Hey, everyone!  Welcome back for Tea Tuesday, but not just any Tea Tuesday... we've hit October.  Being a Halloweenaholic, October is a very magical month and therefore, required a very special tea to review.

This is the most amazing time of year -- in my opinion :) -- and I needed to chose a tea that fit the bill.  You know, crunchy leaves, chilly nights and glowing jack-o-lanterns... you know, the season of FALL kinda tea ;)

With that being said, I chose Teavana White Ayurvedic Chai Tea.  I wanted something sweet, something spicy and something warm.  This was perfect.

Teavana describes this as a "white tea + warming chai spices balanced by tropical coconut + pineapple".  I've always been a fan of white tea blends in general and the pairing with the chai is a nice twist.  I also love the addition of pineapple which gives a bit of sweetness.

A spoonful of honey is my favorite sweetener for this tea and it makes a wonderful drink on chilly days.  I definitely recommend!

I adore this very seasonal appropriate tea :)  The smell reminds me of fall.. very cozy and spicy!  I wish I could find this scent in a candle!

I really enjoyed October's tea and I hope you give it a go!  What are some of your favorites?

I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to follow my site for future posts.  As always, thanks for stopping by :)  Have a great day and talk with you soon!
